Review of Machete (2010) by Sanal R — 31 Oct 2013
What do you get if you mix cartoonishly bloody action, hot revolutionary leaders and nuns with guns? You get Machete, the most outrageous and boldest grindhouse movie that doesn't hold back. Bloody and gory yet still keeping the story strong throughout, Machete literally cuts limb from limb as he goes on a rampant journey of revenge after he's betrayed by a former boss.
The cast is superb, some of the biggest actors perform roles in such a gloriously over the top manner they're just unforgettable. Machete also offers many big laughs even from the simplest of things from one liners like "Machete don't text", and intestinal removal is a signature move that will guaranteed leave you laughing in shock.
This whole movie ends with one heck of a finale, as a revolution takes place, it is the craziest and most fun climax ever, explosive action, thrills, gore and incredibly hot women all mashed into fifteen minutes, and the highlight sees Michelle Rodriguez in tight leather holding a giant gun, probably the hottest action shot of an actress ever.
Robert Rodriguez' best movie since Sin City!
