Review of MacGruber (2010) by Dave M — 11 Feb 2013
I miss this type of spoof humor. It's stupid, I know, but I appreciate that level of knowing that it's stupid and makes no apologies. Jorma Taccone directed MacGruber as if it were a Michael Bay film; to that I say, BRILLIANT.
It's 88 minutes of fucking hysterical and ridiculous dialogue, genius soundtrack, and throat ripping. The problem I had was wanting to see it again the second it was over because there's so much greatness that you can't remember half of what you saw.
I also thought it takes way too long establishing character and story which takes away from what could have been valuable time spent making jokes about sex and poop.
