A valiant effort, definitively worthy of your time and probbably the best Macbeth adaptation to screen to date. Amazing performances both by Fassbender and Cotillard (which work here were tottally undervalued this season).
Kurzel's shows deep respect towards the source material spirit, the score is haunting, and the photograpy (By Adam Arkapaw, who you may remember from True Detective season 1) opresses your heart to inhuman levels.
Yet it feel somehow unconsistent at moments of the 3rd and 4th act, it could have been best served by a different approach to translate some scenes into big screen...
