If you want to see beautiful visuals of Scotland, see this movie. However, if you want to see a full realization of Shakespeare's Macbeth, do not. This movie focused more on the background than the story (when it actually remained faithful to the plot).

The actors did little more than whisper the text while also using Scottish accents, making the text incomprehensible. Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's shortest plays, yet this movie literally felt like it was three hours long.

I wanted to leave within the first 10 minutes because I knew the exact kind of artsy trash I'd be getting. But I stayed and was thoroughly disappointed with the half-assed film. See it for the visuals.
