Eerie cinematography, brilliant acting, and the aesthetic of early 30's Germany make this a fascinating watch. The pacing can plod a bit, especially in the beginning, but if the thought of watching a 2 hour long movie from the 30's with subtitles doesn't immediately turn you off, definitely give this film a try.
