Review of M (1931) by Dustin G — 05 Dec 2012
Very brave and well made classic for its time, or any time. Highly taboo subject and Lang doesn't shine away from the darker aspects of it. Lots of great angles and uses of light and shadow and a beautiful performance from Peter Lorre.
The ambiguous ending was also a nice touch I thought. Rightfully considered one of the great works of world cinema.
