Review of Lust for a Vampire (1971) by Paul B — 28 May 2013
Ralph Bates does an admirable job of deputising for Peter Cushing in the 2nd part of the Karnstein trilogy but this remains an unremarkable Hammer Horror. A writer finds himself drawn to the local castle by the fear of the locals where he uncovers a girls finishing school that harbours it's own dark secrets.
Some good moments & solid central performances can't quite lift this above mediocre - especially when they play THAT song!
