Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Fredrick R — 07 Dec 2008
Long, sad movie by Ang Lee about WW2 espionage in Japan occupied Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Young, naive college students join the Chinese resistance to bring down a "traitor", Mr Yee who is part of the Japanese backed puppet government.
The Resistance's weapon: A beautiful young woman named Wong Chia Chi who is masquerading as Mrs Mak.
She infiltrates the Yee family, becoming friend Mrs. Yee and mistress to Mr. Yee.
Things become confusing when Mrs. Mak begins to fall for the man she is trying to bring down.
