Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Lazara C — 29 May 2011
I don't think this movie captivates lust but more of a darker tone. Mr. Yee is cold on the inside, most of his feelings are kept very locked. Wong is just naive, she seems to be looking for something else in her life.
Which she takes a risk by being a spy but also a seducer and a great actress. Maybe she wanted to be a spy because she admired Kuang leadership and that could be also why she had a mutual attraction towards him but also himself.
She kept waiting for him to make a move, until he finally kissed her in one of the scene and her remark was why he didn't do it three years ago. So from what it seems, her remark is why now when she has gone deeper with Mr.
Yee. The sex scenes were hard to watch at first, but after a while you started to see some sort of change. The way she describes how he creeps inside of her until it reaches her heart and that is what sort of happened.
In the end, it didn't surprise me she preferred to let it be...
