Somewhat ironically, it works best if you turn your brain off. In terms of spectacle, it's no match for, say, The Fifth Element, but it's still a beautiful-looking movie, and ScarJ's detatched, bluntly deadpan performance is a pleasure to watch.
Pseudo-sci-fi action fluff from one of the true masters of the genre.
