Review of Lucy (2014) by Rene L — 25 May 2015
It starts strong and never stops. I barely noticed time passing, there was so much happening. Johansson plays a strong, fierce heroine, easily disappearing into the part she plays. I was impressed by her performance.
The movie itself is strange, with curious, science-heavy theories about mankind and our existence in our world but delivers this information clearly without bogging it down with language better suited to a lecture hall than a movie.
It's worth watching, goes by quick and satisfies your need for non-stop action. The R rating was a bit much though as the violence is bloody without being gory, no cussing and no nudity.
