Review of Loving Vincent (2017) by Carl A — 01 Feb 2018
I'm loving loving Vincent. I had been waiting for some time for this movie to come out. I saw the dubbed Spanidh version in Alicante, Spain. I would have preferred seeing the English version for better comprehension, but the Spanish version was the only one available I would say that even if I were to not understand anything, it would be worthwhile seeing the movie for the art.
The movie presents the various possble theories as to the demise of Vincent as well as details of his life through the perspective of various people that knew him. In some cases the perspective is influenced by the beliefs of the person commenting.
The letter carrier provides a means of touching bases and introducing possible theories on how he died. But the real star here is the art and animation of Vicent's umique style of painting. Waited a long time to see it, but it was worth it.
