I remember having to go to Canada to see this in the theatre because the US band it because the girl was thirteen and said it was boardering on inappropriate subject matter. IT took a decade plus before it was allowed to come into the US, I still think it is because Hollywood doesn't like to be shown how to make films.
This is a charming coming of age story rumored to the Authors own which shows the exploration of body and emotions as well as the duties to ones family. In a word... "beautiful".
