Review of Lover (1992) by Gabi B — 28 Aug 2010
It's kinnda similar with 9,5 weeks but in the same time really different. I like the beggining and the end, don't know what it is - impressionism, expressionism or whatever - but it is perfect creation of mood through photography and sound. There's too much naked bodies and sex scenes but this is the way the story goes. Anyway, that's where the talent of director shows up cause it's really hard too direct intimate scenes. And here pretty much all the movie is that way.
To sum up it's a strange movie but worth seen if you want something different and slow.
