Review of Love Story (2011) by Sooka S — 07 Aug 2010
Ray Millard playing the father acts with such skill despite his limited and brief spoken words. His pained eyes communicate oceans of thoughts. You know what shall befall Jennifer from the first scene. The punchy dialogue between Oliver and Jenny make the courtship special and pull upon you later as Jenny degenerates. The soundtrack is not varied yet effective for romantic film enthusiasts. Impressed by the acting talents in this film, and the story is simple. For that, I can appreciate what this film tries to be and not what I wish it would be.
Sidebar: A young Tommy Lee Jones is disorienting to the visual lens.
