Strongly acted and deeply touching, sweet and romantic, Love Story is a bit underrated melodrama that largely benefits from superb score, likable characters and excellent chemistry and dialogue between the two.
It may seem at times manipulative, at times restrained, but it is mostly a memorable romantic film due to its magnificent score and some authentic lines plus it is rare and nice to see a 1970s film this unabashedly sentimental and old-fashioned.
