Ira Sachs' intelligence is at the center of this film, that includes moments of some of the most intimate acting I've ever seen in a film. That Molina and Lithgow have been friends for 30+ years and that Sachs allows them to pursue honest exchanges makes for stunning observations about love and age -â?? completely agnostic to gender.
