Review of Love Is Strange (2014) by Dov D — 23 Sep 2014
John Lithgow and Alfred Molina's subtle yet extremely powerful performances set the stage for this unfocused story about learning how to change. Director Ira Sachs does a stellar job of maintaining balance in the story and letting the characters interactions naturally progress.
Similar in style to the groundbreaking film Boyhood, Love Is Strange has the look and feel of a real story with genuine emotion, and the execution matches the screenplay. 8.5/10.
