Review of Love Is Strange (2014) by Mikko R — 25 Sep 2014
Good acting by the leading pair can't save the film. The script is a mess without structure, lacking anything that would lure you to see how things will turn out OK in the end, as they will with tedious inevitability.
The technical execution is also a letdown. The constant piano score gets on your nerves instead of creating the continuity it presumably was hoped to create, and the bits apparently meant to feel atmospheric remind one of artsy tv adverts for cheap clothes.
