Review of Love Is Strange (2014) by Kristianbk — 20 Nov 2014
Love is Strange is a modest, cute film, that doesn't stand out nor doesn't it want to stand out. Warm and masterful performances by Molina and Lithgow lead the film as it tells it's story. Good use of classical pieces of music, which only adds to the movie that little spark of something special.
Even though directing and screenplay don't stand out as anything worth mentioning, it still is a warm movie. There also were some scenes that could be handled better, I could say the same for the story-telling.
Not great, not flawless, but still worth watching.
