Very rarely does a biopic catch my attention repeatedly, but after three viewings--two more than virtually every other in its class--I'm more confused as to why on earth no one produced a film based on AT LEAST the creation of Pet Sounds.

If anything, this film deserves a sequel focusing on the amazing genius of Brian Wilson (and his apparent tragedy). Cusack/Dano commit authentic and believable performances, both as the titular character in paradoxical periods of his life.
