There was a brief time in my life when The Beach Boys was my favorite band. While everyone else had KISS and Pink Floyd stickers on their notebooks, I proclaimed the greatness of The Beach Boys! I had few friends.

I digress. This is really a pretty fantastic biopic, despite only focusing on a couple very specific periods in Brian Wilson's life. John Cusack was amazing, as always, but as big a Cusack fan as I am, I thought he was miscast.

Dano was good too, and Banks could have lit a fire in a eunuch's loins. Great film, especially if you're a fan. Plus a half star 'cause fucking Beach Boys!
