Really I had no idea what Brian Wilson had gone through so this film was a giant eye opener. The best part about this film though is that unlike most biopics of famous musicians, this film concentrates solely on the Wilson character completely.
It doesn't vere off to the band or to the "tough times" blah blah blah but soley stays with Wilson. The combo of Dano/Cusauck is unbelievably effective showing the progress from child star to completely broken adult.
Fascinating film.
