Review of Love & Mercy (2015) by Bradley W — 26 Apr 2017
I was much more invested in the past timeline parts of the film, and that's probably because that's where the music creation scenes were. I know how the music turns out, but there's still something really exciting about seeing it be created. However, I can appreciate that the future timeline parts give the past parts a heavier gravity, and it's for that reason that my attention was held throughout.
I really liked "Love and Mercy," and I can see myself watching it again at some point. I'm fully behind the fresh I've given it. But the more I think about it, the more I feel I would've liked it more if it were just a movie about the past timeline.
This is a difficult movie for me to articulate my thoughts on. I guess my main thoughts are that this is a good movie, and my lack of interest in the future timeline and my abundance of interest in the past timeline average each other out.
