A thoroughly engaging, emotionally moving biopic about Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson at two particularly trying points in his life, expertly portrayed by Paul Dano and John Cusack. The picture's fine supporting cast, excellent period piece production values and sound quality effectively augment the film's well-crafted narrative.
Easily the best picture of the year so far.
