Review of Love Aaj Kal (2009) by Farooq I — 31 Jul 2009

I love it. It was a simple storyline, but at the same time, you could relate to the characters. I think Imtiaz Ali is a genius at creating confused characters that you want to slap, but yet, are still lovable and you are still able to relate to. Saif Ali Khan was great as the Sardar. Deepika has given her best performance yet. The girl who plays Harleen was decent. Rishi Kapoor was his usual, cute self.

I'd recommend it. I truly enjoyed it. Don't go in with high expectations and expect what it is: A simple, sweet, flowing love story without too much melodrama.
