Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Chad B — 01 Mar 2012
This is a film that takes its characters and situations seriously and realistically; not just a story about two wayward souls bonding in an unfamiliar locale, it delves deep into the complex psyches of its two main characters and is guided along stunningly by the respective lead actors.
It's also a beautiful and hypnotic visual exploration of Tokyo and it allows the audience to soak in both the culture's tranquility and its busyness.
