Review of Lost Highway (1997) by James S — 23 Jul 2008
Lynch's ultimate masterwork as far as I'm concerned, Francis Bacon put to celluloid. He crafts a distorted world of jealosy and uneasiness, lies and videotape. I expecially like the use of lighting and lines, and Lynch's true vision along with his brilliant partner in crime Angelo Badalamenti make it as much an auditory experience as a visual one (try just listening to it sometime) It deliberetly defies logic, and makes for one of the most disturbing movie experiences ever.
