Just an average movie. Jason Biggs from a small town enter NYU. His dad Dan Aykroyd tell him to fit in, he have to care for people. But it didn't work. Greg Kinner is a lecturer. Mena Suvari is another student, also secret girlfriend of Greg.

Jason fell down in class and she attends to him. Jason's roomies just the typical wasted youth. They didn't like him and plan to get him out. Jason follow along to make them happy, so he move out to stay in a vet clinic.

Mena works in a bar but is fired for her low earnings. The roomies can't bring in alcohol to room now and make use of Jason residence as party venue, even lie that they chase him out for a better reason.

He bought the concert ticket of Mena favourite band and dated her. While applying for job, one of the roomie invited her to their party. She fainted because of the drug. Jason is sad she didn't turn up at the concert.

He go home and saw her unconscious in the bathroom. Bring her to hospital and surprise her next to contact is Greg. He bring her home. The roomie know her secret and blackmail Greg to give them good results.

Jason find Greg but he think he is for the blackmail as well and diss him off. Mena spend a few days with Jason, going out. She found a job to harvest her eggs. Asking her to stay 1 more night, he go out to get food and video but return back, Greg is there to pick her home.

Jason print an article warning about taking the fertility pills will increase cancer. He knows how the roomies manage to drug girls and change their pills. Their party turns out to be a dud. He finds Greg and state he didn't need favours from him.

Mena overheard him talking on phone to Dan saying "he miss her". Greg is going to let her meet his parents but didn't reveal her true identity. She realise she like Jason and goes to find him.

They kiss and are together. The roomies each get their dues, so does Greg. I think Jason as the good boy deserve a better gal than Mena who slept with Greg.
