Review of Lorna's Silence (2008) by Liliane C — 19 Jul 2009
This film is very much on a par with previous Dardenne brothers films, which often portray characters dealing (in some fashion) with the consequences of failed moral choices. In this case, the story depicts what happens when a woman comes to see the human face of what had only been for her a cold, abstract economic transaction born of economic necessity.
This is a poignant story and definitely worth seeing.
