Review of Lorna's Silence (2008) by Serge L — 10 Jun 2017
The mob tries always to find plot and trickeries to make money "not working" but the work they do is so dark, stupid, and demanding that often they will have people defect in spite of the risk for their own lives.
Here, the whore gets the guy they were using for easy profit and tries to save his life. But she is obvious and does not realise right away what kind of evils she is working for. A bit of a Soprano serie with a less positive view of the stupid mobsters and a naive participant that grows a little less so.
Yep, they don't bring you in the woods to show you the birds.
