Thought a lot about my father in the film. He was 17 years old at the end of the war and couldn´t find his home - everything was rock and ashes. Parents and brothers dead, the only way out was emigration to Sweden - first as an assistant on Wallenius boats, later officers school in Gothenburg.
What might he not have experienced? -The first film I've seen that really shows what it was like at the end of the war. There was no internet, no television. Shattering film.
