Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Patrick W — 22 Apr 2011
Short and sweet. It may not be a perfect adaptation, and some the performances may be stinted but it's meant to be that way. This is a very naturalistic take on the source material, and it works wonders.
Are there flaws? Yes, but no film is flawless. There are some very poignant moments in this film that stick with you as the credits role. Beautifully done. I'd be interested to see another stab at this adaptation in the future.
