Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Anthony B — 07 Jan 2012
Important piece of early American independent filmmaking--theater director Peter Brook made the film with a group of kids, a camera, and an island, and the raw, verite-inspired approach is tremendously powerful.
If anything, it's an improvement on the source material, which has always struck me as a bit adolescent in its despair.
