Review of Looper (2012) by Brandon W — 04 Jun 2015
Looper is an excellent Science Fiction movie that makes me want to see more of Rian Johnson's films. Seeing as Joseph Gordon-Levitt doesn't look like Bruce Willis, they had to do make-up on him to look like Willis, and they actually did a good job at it.
The premise feels really original which is rare to see in time travel movies as people would think that they seen enough of it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is really good, and it's great to see Bruce Willis be a serious actor as the movie proves that Bruce Willis can still be a intimidating actor even after all these years in his career.
It's nice to see that the trailers didn't spoil much of the movie as it gives off things that we never expect from it. The action is great, and the script makes it tight for the movie and the time travel premise in which I didn't find any plot holes.
One of the most unexpected highlights of the film, is newcomer Irene Gagnon. He's so good and so intimidating in it, that he could be the next Haley Joel Osment that is one of the best kid actors that you seen in a long time.
It has a scene or two that has a funny moment. It has some cool, and creepy, effects, and it's very unpredictable. Looper is a very smart film that I wished that a bit more people knows about this film as I felt like this movie went on for a while, and it just stopped.
