Review of Looking for Richard (1996) by Mathieu F — 03 Apr 2010
This documentary film is a musing on what it means to play a Shakespearean play. It is a deep plunge into the world of the Bard, into the late-Renaissance era, into the minds of another time. It is the necessary thinking to really understand and thus give meaning to the words of the 16th/17th century.
Brilliant and intelligent as well as imaginative.
