Review of Long Shot (2019) by Moviemitch96 — 04 May 2019
Cute, albeit formulaic and predictable political rom-com. The main draw here is the charm and chemistry from Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron, and there are some funny moments to be had, but nothing too hilarious to me, and like I said, the story felt played a bit safe and formulaic for the most part.
Overall, if the "unlikely but not impossible" pairing of Rogen and Theron that the film's marketing has been employing is enough to intrigue you, you'll likely enjoy it for their fun performances and chemistry with one another, but other than that, it's nothing hilarious and for me proved mostly forgettable, remaining in the shadow of other rom-coms with all too similar tropes/situations.
