I like Rogen more than some of the other mainstream American comedy actors out there. This isn't one of his best movies, but it made me laugh more than most comedies. I like Charlize Theron in a comedy more than most actresses, too. They both do a good job, but it's impossible to see them as a real couple... or real people.

Journalists don't act like Fred Flarsky and high level politicians don't act like Charlotte Field. The writers make no effort, whatsoever, to construct believable (or unique) characters. Instead, they are both straight out of every other Rogen movie.

Conversation between the leads is always about pop culture. At one point, Secretary of State - and presidential hopeful - Charlotte Field says she wants to get "super **** up" on "molly"... this leads to one of the funnier moments in the movie, but it's completely out of context, just like the childish obsession they both have for Boyz 2 Men and their conversations about 90's pop culture.

The film is, predictably, bordering on left wing propaganda. They try to disguise this by having one of the main characters "come out" as a republican, but Charlize Theron's character referring to the president (Trump) as a "dumb *rhymes with duck" when announcing her candidacy for president isn't exactly subtle.

I could have done without Rogen's 13 year old "boner" or seeing him finish on his face. People on the street calling him the cum guy isn't my opinion of great comedy. Anybody can do that... and Rogen has been milking this particular joke a bit too long. (Pun intended.).

And, how many times has he been high in movies - and TV shows - now? He's funny when he's high, but it's getting a bit much. Sex jokes for dialogue. Then at least one character gets high and freaks out. It could just be my imagination but does this describes most of his films?

For some reason, I was expecting something different from this. James Franco isn't in it and Apatow has nothing to do with it. Yet, it's still the same.

Rogen needs to mix it up a bit. The producers knew this going in, so they tried to dress him up. But... the jacket, the hat and the beard don't fool me.

I've seen this all before.
