Review of Lonesome Jim (2005) by Cory B — 09 May 2010
It started out with amazing potential, considering the cast involved (love character actors like Cassel, Casey, Kevin Corrigan, Mark Kay Place... lots of good people), but it unfortunately descended into cheese and predictability.
It was so hard to like Affleck's character, even though he did play it quite well. I abhorred Liv Tyler's character (she has never resonated well with me), and that brought everything down a notch.
There were some top-notch, legit l.o.l. lines, and the script as a whole was socko. But in the end, it all crumbled, and I longed for the awesome film I had watched 30 minutes ago.
