Review of London to Brighton (2006) by Nicholas C — 13 Jun 2007
While London to Brighton has a solid , if unimaginative, structure to its story the bare bones are all too visible. There is substance there, but Williams seems ashamed of his low budget and tries to cover it with excessive close-ups (which are close enough to reveal the insincerity of his inexperienced cast) and a fear of keeping his camera still.
Cliched dialogue does little to help, and neither does the fact that this is ANOTHER low budget brit-flick with gangsters in it. Not original enough to stand out from the crowd.
