Review of London to Brighton (2006) by Patrik F — 19 Jun 2007
The problem I have with this film, is that it didn?t feel as if the characters had any control of their destinies (so why should I care about them?), but instead where simply going through the motions that would lead them all to a predictable end.
As if all their actions were being dictated to them by some higher force. The higher force in this case being the script writer whose presence I could clearly feel as I had a very hard time trying to stay suspended in disbelief at every turn.
This film could have been great if a little more thought had been put into it, but now I can?t help wonder: what?s the point?
