A brutal and gritty film with magnificent performances that draw you in to a world that is totally believable despite the cliched gangster bad guy who owns a strip club (I really wish every british film maker would find some other profession for a ganster!!).
It does lose some of it's power on second viewing so I suggest you watch this once and just let it sit with you as the best british films this millenium.
