Review of London Boulevard (2010) by Lone W — 08 Dec 2010

Have to say I always have a above average expectation for gangster related movies, mainly because there has been so many legendry ones made in the past, and im not saying this has joined that special few....but it was a pretty great one though.

I always think that ray winstone playes these type of roles amazingly he just has that persona and voice to play the tough hard guy in the movies and I honestly couldnt fault him in this movie and he certainly looked the part, especially with the old school glasses lol.

Even though the likes of david thewlis, anna friel, and ben chaplin were'nt the actors with the main roles but still had good roles none the less, all played their part exceptionaly well...especially ben chaplin in playing the idiot, wannabe gangster and even though I dont think he was meant to be was comical at times during the movie.

Now leading onto colin farrell and keira knightley..the two main stars in the film...and again like the other actors I couldnt fault them I thought they played their exceptionally well playing the type of character with the problems that charlotte has it musnt have been easy in the least and I couldnt fault her one bit at all.

And colin farrell like ray winstone he has this hard man persona and I think it may have been easier for him to play his role than keria knightley's and I couldnt fault him I thought he playes the role exceptionally well, and I think they got the balance of him torn between going straight or becoming the gangster very well.

So overall I thought was a really really really good enjoyable movie, and not sure if it was meant to but was comical at times, well worth a watch if you ask me.
