Review of London Boulevard (2010) by Mz.gie G — 28 Feb 2011
Ex-con (Farrell) wants to go straight, gets a job as bodyguard to a reclusive star (Knightley) but can't escape the dodgy underworld of London's criminal bosses. From William Monahan (writer of The Departed) and boasting the usual reliable faces in its supporting cast (Eddie Marsan, Stephen Graham) this wants to be a hip thriller, but is simply execrable; Farrell in particular is awful and has zero chemistry with Knightley, whilst Ray Winstone turns up and says c*** a lot.
Such a waste of talent, don't let the impressive cast list deceive you, London Boulevard is just a tiresome mess.
