A decent Gangster movie that manages to avoid most of the cliches of the Guy Ritchie films. Its more realistic, brutal and less cartoonish than most of the genre, with real pain and jeopardy for the characters.
Farell, Knightly, Winstone, Thewlis and Friel were excellent as was Ben Chaplin who I haven't seen for some time. It's a little disjointed and the end is pretty grim, which is a shame because by then you are rooting for the Farrell to escape his past and talent for brutality.
