Review of Lolita (1962) by Kelly L — 02 Mar 2010
Between Nabokov and Kubrick, I will always choose Nabokov, but I did enjoy Kubrick's interpretation of Lolita a lot, once I put aside my own interpretation and began seeing the film and novel as two separate beings- until suddenly, they began to blend together.
I was also pleased with the well casted leads. One thing is certain: both the film and the novel are classics in their own, singular ways.
