Review of Lolita (1962) by Marco V — 29 Jan 2011
Listen, didn't you... didn't you have a daughter? Didn't you have a daughter with a lovely name? Yeah! A lovely... What was it now? A lovely, lyrical, lilting name, like, uh... uh... Lo-li-ta! Pedophila and Sexual Obsession; what else can you expect of Kubrick?. Kubrick is known for making controversial material; Lolita doesn't dissapoint. Lolita is one of Kubrick's finest films. A really stunning film! Everything was Perfect! The Acting (Petter Sellers is the greatest comedian next to Chaplin!) The Soundtrack (Lolita ya-ya... I love it) and the Story in general. Obessesive, Remarkable, Creepy, Disturbing, Sexual and Brilliant.. like Lolita! I loved it! I felt "dirty" inside after watching it...
A illegal-love story between an Adult and a child! A tragedy.
