Review of Logan's Run (1976) by Giffy G — 30 May 2008
It has been so long since I saw this movie that it was like watching a whole new movie. While the movie's special effects aged very, very poorly, I was quite pleased with how clever the plot still was: it still stands as an original story.
I especially love what this movie did with the Adam and Eve myth (there IS no paradise), and I love little subtelties that I didn't catch when I saw it when I was a kid. The one thing that really grated me this time was the unnecessary nude scenes.
TWICE in this movie our main characters got naked for apparently no good reason, just to redress in three minutes... they might as well have camera mugged.
