Review of Logan's Run (1976) by Andrew H — 26 Oct 2010
It's pretty much your typical story of an enforcer deciding to rebel against the system he once believed in. At least it's an interesting premise with room for surprise. I found the story engaging throughout, although I thought it could have been paced much better.
It almost could have been split into two films, something that would allow more exploration into the world, which is not fleshed out as much as it could have been. I'm interested in seeing what extra information the book might have to offer.
I'd also be interested to see what would happen with a remake, although it would undoubtedly become a special effects extravaganza. And while this 1976 has less-than-spectacular effects, the story is enough to keep it from being a complete cheese-fest.
Keep running, Logan.
