Review of Logan's Run (1976) by Andrew M — 09 Oct 2012
An interesting story â" that in the future, everyone lives in domes and is executed at age 30 to keep the population under control, but that some rebel and go on the run. Michael Yorkâ(TM)s Logan is a â~Sandmanâ(TM) killing these runners, until he ends up on the run himself, alongside (the dazzlingly beautiful) Jenny Agutter.
Itâ(TM)s strongly reminiscent of so many other sci-fi films of that era â" â~Star Warsâ(TM), â~Planet Of The Apesâ(TM), â~THX-1138â(TM), etc, but with the cheapo effects and look of something like â~Battlestar Galacticaâ(TM).
Perfectly likeable, but nothing brilliant on display here.
